Hello,
We have an issue with some of our CDP replicas. Not all are affected, this seems to impact only some VMs. The replica folder size keeps growing and does not seem to want to stop or reduce in size.
When looking at the files in the folder, there are tons of huge tlog and meta files whose last modification date is way older than the cdp policy retention which is set to 1 day. For example on one VM we have literally terabytes of files in the 2-10 days range, that don't change anymore and just stay there, this looks more or less like orphaned data since the retention policy is 1 day?
For other replicas that don't have this issue, all files last modification dates are in the last 24H, which seems to make sense.
We already experienced this, then removing the VM from the cdp policy, deleting the replica and re-adding the VM to the policy solves the issue of course, but then it keeps on growing endlessly even after the 1 day retention, which is causing issues of course.

Do you mind opening a ticket with our support team? Having access to the debug logs and actual infrastructure will allow us to confirm whether everything works as expected or some components misbehaves. Thanks!

I have asked IBM cloud support to do so, including an example of the files.
We really have difficulties to stabilize cdp at the moment, including the "stuck in CBT" issue, and this impacts our DRP SLA's

Unfortunately such issues cannot be successfully investigated via forum correspondence, to get a better perspective we need to check the corresponding logs and spot the root cause there. So we'd appreciate, if you post the ticket number here (once you get one), so we can follow the investigation internally and chime in, if necessary. Thanks!
