Change of Backup Mode and powershell script

Post by ns00h »

Hello,

We recently changed from Reverse Incremental Backup to Incremental backup. While using Incremental backup mode we ran a powershell script after backup that copied the backup file to an external drive.

This worked fine as it copied the full backup file to the disk for off-site storage.

Now in Reverse Incremental mode the file copied using the powershell script is just the incremental file. So not really any good for restoring from.

Can I backup using Reverse Incremental mode but somehow use powershell commands to copy a full backup to the off-site disk?

Thanks
Nathan

In a Reverse Incremental chain there should be only one *.vbk file.
If you want to be sure to only backup one (there could be an manual active full) then you maybe need to check the date first. Like not older than 2 days or so.
