Hello,
I restored the vmdk file using "Restore VM files (VMDK, VMX)".
After that, the disk type changed from "thin" to "thick".
Is this a specification?
Does anyone have any information?
Thanks,
Yuya

Re: Changed from thin to thick when restoring the vmdk file
Hi Yuya,
this is by design of the selected restore method. Creating a file out of a VMDK is only possible in a thick way as we "just" write the file on file system level.
You can potentially restore just the VM disk with the VM disk restore. There you have options arround thin and thick usage.
