Clean removal of VM from replication job?

Post by pinkerton »

Hi,

a few days ago I removed a VM from a replication job. Since then the job status email always includes the following info:

"VM is no longer processed by this job. Make sure this change is intentional".

How can I remove the VM from the job so the job knows the removal was intentional?

Thanks

Hi Michael,

If you do not need to protect VMs anymore, you can remove existing VM replicas from the Replica node manually.

By doing this you will remove all references from the Veeam Backup & Replication console; however, your replicated VM will still reside on your target host, so you can start them manually after the Remove from replicas option is performed.

Please note that if you do NOT want to keep VM replica at all, you can use "Delete from disk" option. It will remove both the database entries and replica files.

Thanks!

Hi Vitaly,

thanks for your reply. Actually, "Delete from disk" is the only option I have. "Remove from replicas" is only available for the whole job.

That's not a problem for me in this case, though I am wondering that it differs from what you are saying.

Thanks
Michael

Oh yes, you're right, deleting VM replica should do the trick.
