Cleaning up after veeam?

Post by briggs »

Hi,
Just a question about the files Veeam generates. I've noticed that the Veeam server (a VM with thin provisioned disks) has grown fairly significantly since it's implementation. It seems perfectly normal, but before it gets worse, I thought I'd ask.
2 folder in particular contain fairly large contents - C:\users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp and c:\VBRCatalog\Index\Machines

Do these need clearing out? Can they be cleared out? What are they for?

Many thanks, Alan

Alan, what Veeam B&R version are you on? Temporary files were not properly cleaned up previously, however this was addressed in Veeam B&R v7 patch 1.

Then everything should be ok. If you feel like they are not cleaned up in a timely manner, feel free to open a case with support to investigate.
