Cloud B&R- spinning up vm's in the cloud

Post by brianc »

I am hoping to hear experiences with Cloud B&R, particularly if anyone has found a provider that not only serves as a destination for your Veeam backed up virtual machines but ALSO gives you the ability to spin up these virtual machines in the cloud. I know that it is possible with Amazon, but it seems a tedious process to go thru - converting to AMI and whatnot.

Does anyone have any experience with this strategy?

Apart from converting mechanisms provided by some cloud providers, typically, you should have an ESX(i) host in order to restore VMs to. So, it seems that cloud providers of first two types are exactly what you’re looking for.

Thanks.
