Greetings,
I have a backup server that transfers the backups also to a cloud provider. Yesterday I got an error message, that the backp could not be transferred due to a crc error. Eventlog showed many disk errors, and a surface test revealed bad blocks.
I will now replace the faulty hard disk, but how do I threat the erratic file(s) that are affected by the read errors? Should I just go ahead and delete the last some backups (I assume the last backup files are only affected), and just live with the gap of e.g. 2-3 days in my backup chain or are there more sophisticated solutions?
Thanks
Johannes

Re: CRC error
Hi Johannes,
It is always a good idea to restore from last successful backup. Even if it was done several days ago.
As for the backup chain, initiate an Active Full Backup for the job to start fresh chain.
/Thanks!
