I have a very serious problem that I can not solve. All backups sporadically fail (even single VMs in a job) on a DD Boost DFC backup repository with the following error:
Error: Credentials for storage unit Veeam-SU1-DFC on storage DFC-ddxxx was not found.
Code: Select all
Simultaneously, the following error appears in the Windows Event Viewer:

These are the workarounds that I have also applied through the Veeam Support - Case # 02659087:
- Upgrade DD OS Version from 5.7 to 6.0 (I still can not update to the last 6.1 because I have other systems that do not fall into the combatability matrix. I have an update plan that I will complete within the next 10 days.)
- I've created new storage units with new credentials.
- I applied a private fix that gave me Veeam support.
- I've created new backup chains, new jobs, cloned jobs, etc.
- I have a second twin Data Domain on which I write Backup Copy but with the same problem.
- Several restarts and server backup / server gateway services.
- IP storage units also fail.
Here is the scenario:
- A single physical server backup with all Veeam components (192 GB RAM, 2 socket/12 cores, Windows Server 2012 R2 full patched)
- Proxy with Direct SAN Access
- Data Domain Integration with DFC
- Veeam Backup & Replication v9.5 U3
One thing is certain, these anomalies have started since I updated to Update 3.
Please help me, I'm in serious trouble.
Thanks so much!
