Datacore Storage Snapshot

Hello guys,

I just installed the plugin for Storage Snapshot with Datacore.

I m looking for the best practices to backup and replicate with the option "Storage snapshots".

Typicaly I have assign different Tags to my Vms, and use them in my Veeam Backup/Replication Jobs, the VMs are dispatched on differents LUNs.
Is that a good approach to enable this features in this case ?

For Backup from Storage Snapshot there is no issue with this approach.

If you want to maintain a Snapshot chain on the storage (Snapshot only Jobs or Backup from Storage Snapshot Jobs with Snapshot retention setting enabled), then this approach would potentially create too much snapshots as each job would potentially create a own snapshot for any run. Consider then to build Jobs on Datastore base.

Ok, so I have to regroup my Vms with the same Tag in the same Datastore to limit the creation of to much snapshots.

Is there a guide with the good practices with storage snapshot?
