Hi,
When i created a replication job in Veeam for a VM(datastore 30GB total, 300MB space left) and ran the replication job, i found that the job tried to create a snapshot on the VM. Since there's only very little space left on the datastore, the job failed. So my question is, is it a must for the replication to create snapshot on the VM? and is there a general guideline about how much space on the datastore is needed?
thanks

Re: Datastore Free Space Requirement
In order for Veeam to utilise the Vmware Data Protection API, a snapshot of the source VM has to be taken. Personally I would always allow at least 10% on a data store for snapshots.
