Direct attach and HP EVA

Post by bdoellefeld »

Hi,

Just curious if any members have setup direct SAN access with their EVA and what their experience has been?

Thanks!

Hi Bill, it looks like there are 5 pages worth of search results if you search this forum for EVA, did you get a chance to go through these?

Hi Gostev.

Yep, I sure did. Most posts I read were pre-V6. Just trying to gain some insights post-V6 before I jump in with my EVAs.

So far I am loving V6 and especially the proxies. Well done Veeam!

Just make sure that you apply the patch for direct SAN access. Regarding actual low-level stuff around direct SAN storage interaction (data retrieval method and logic), there has been no changes since B&R v4. So everything you read up in seach still applies to v6.

Thank you for your kind words!
