Direct SAN access mode

Post by DeanGTS »

Hi,

I'm looking at implementing SAN mode for Veeam jobs, though have a simple query before attempting to make any changes so have no Incident ID.

We have multiple Veeam proxies managed from the Veeam server at DR site, now when I configure the MPIO for the LUNs do these require presenting to the Veeam server or the Veeam proxy on site?
Can the mapping be read only access to the LUN? If so will truncation occur for application aware jobs?

Thank you for your time.

Access to LUNs should be given to proxy servers that will effectively be reading the VM data from them. Read-only access is fine. Logs truncation is not affected by the transport mode.
