Hi,
We have a VM cluster on Netapp storage, and the version of the hosts and VC were 5.5U1.
The backup jobs worked fine through Direct SAN using Veeam BR 6.5.
Recently, we upgraded VC to 5.5U3 for fix some issues, and then the backup jobs became only run in Network mode.
It showed "Direct SAN connection is not available...."
I searched many documents and forums, but there has no discussing relevant to this.
Is there any suggestion or solution that could help us to troubleshooting or resolve this?

Hello Ricky, could you please confirm we're talking Veeam B&R v6.5 here? This version only supports vSphere versions up to 5.1, support for vSphere 5.5 was first introduced in v7. Both versions are no longer supported by our technical team though, so the first advice would be to upgrade to a more recent one.

Unfortunately, yes, it's about Veeam BR v6.5. Of course I tend to upgrade to the newest version.
But I didn't have much budget in this.
Luckily, besides the speed, it works fine.
I checked the logs out in these days and it does find some errors there.
So, now I just make a try to fix this issue.

Than you have nothing to do but run it in NBD until you have budget to upgrade. But I just want to warn you of other possible issues due to unsupported configuration.

Well, that's all about SSLv3.
I had read some documents and make sure that all hosts and VC have to enable SSLv3.
Finally the Backup jobs run in Direct SAN mode.
