Direct SAN connection is not available

Post by y1008946 »

Hi, we have some backup jobs setup.

At the start we get the message:

'Direct SAN connection is not available, failing over to network mode (Hard disk 1)'

The jobs run ok, but where do we need to make the change so that they do not try to run in the SAN mode?

Thanks

If you have physical proxy server, then you can force your existing proxy server to run in network mode only. This can be done by accessing proxy configuration in the backup console. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.

Do I goto

Backup Proxies -> VMWare Backup Proxy -> Transport Mode

And change it from Automatic to Network?

Thanks

Yes, that's correct. This will force all jobs running through this proxy to work in network mode.
