Direct Storage Access is too slow

Post by DavoudTeimouri »

Hi,
I have problem with our physical proxy, SAN is to slow during backup, 1 MB/s!
Here is the server specifications:
HPE DL380 G9
E5-2697v4
256 GB
2 x HBA
2 x 10 Gb (NIC)
-------------------------
Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 U4a
-------------------------
vSphere 6 U3

I did the following:
Change OS from Win2016 to Win2012
Change ReFS to NTFS
Update FW and drives and ...

There is no problem with SAN storage because network mode will work at 300 MB/s at least.

Did you already try to serve a test-lun to the physical proxy? And tried some perfomance tests?

Issue was related to physical connectivity. Errors were same on SAN switches ports but after disable ports one by one, we could detect problematic port.
SFP has been changed and issue has been resolved.
