as written here if you are doing backup of VMs running on vsan.

do you know why the disk of the backup proxy needs to be on the vsan datastore and can not be on some other datastore?
It is a Veeam limitation or vmware please?

Thanks!Target machine in vSAN datastore and backup proxy in non vSAN datastore is not supported as it’s a limitation since vSphere 6.5. As of now, there is no workaround to this and will be fixed in a future release.
