I have a B&R server at my primary site and backing up a Microsoft SQL Server. One copy is stored at primary site, second is copied using Copy Job to storage at secondary site.
1. How to restore a database to SQL server located in secondary site from locally stored copy?
2. Is it possible to connect another B&R server (located in secondart site) to the same backup folder within the site? I need it for DR case when the primary site (and master B&R server) is unavailable.
Thanks a lot,
Jan

Re: DR site SQL restore
Hello Jan,
1. You can restore the entire VM to the secondary site or use Veeam Explorer for SQL to make a restore of a specific database to another server on secondary site.
2. Yes, it is possible but I'm not sure that I understand the reason. You can have a single Veeam B&R server on DR to orchestrate backups on both local site and backup copy from local to DR. Thus, you don't need to take care of an extra instance of Veeam B&R in case of disaster with the primary site.
Thanks!
