Hello,
i've configured a DD6300 with ddboost FC protocol enabled.
I've two phisycal Veeam proxy connected to the DD and to the SAN via FC.
The problem is that when i run a backup job, the fc connection retrieves data from the storage fine, but the connection between the proxy and the repository goes over ethernet and not over FC!
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Marco

Re: EMC Data Domain - DDboost over FC
Hi Marco, just to make sure, have you correctly added the storage to Veeam B&R and checked the existing limitations?

Hi Foggy,
yes I added the repo using the "Use Fibre Channel (FC) connectivity" check box, ddboost user with right on the fc storage unit.
I've read the limitation, I think it's all right..only a doubt, what do you mean with "Dell EMC Data Domain with DD Boost 3.0 requires connection over WAN." ?

To be honest, I'm not sure where did this limitation come from (and first attempts to check haven't succeeded), but it doesn't apply to your setup anyway, since you have DD Boost 3.1. For further investigation, I encourage you to let our engineers to review your setup more closely.
