thanks for the request. I understand the reason, but would you like anyway to elaborate the reason behind this request, so that product management can better understand it?

PS: are you working for a service provider? You may want to apply for our VCSP forum (veeam-backup-replication-f2/a-new-forum ... ml#p122777), so that you can see many provider-focused discussions.

It is not within SP.
It is necessary that customers located on our site (on vCloud director) can use different types of disks in the repository.
Alas, there is no such choice.

Got it, I asked because generally VMware sells vCloud Director only to service providers... anyway, thanks for the details, I've seen this feature request already among providers in that forum so I'm sure it's being tracked by Product Management.

We are in need of the same capability. We have multiple VBR servers, where one is for Cloud Connect and there we are SP, but then we have other VBR which is connected to vCloud director. Our clients have vCloud organizations and they are using self-service enterprise manager backup portal for backups and restores in there organization. Sadly i can give them only one repository.

We are also need such feature. I have 3 sites (2 of them in different countries). All of them managed by one vCloud Director. Organization want to have opportunity to make backups to different repositories.
As an offer - make connection between Repository and vDC, instead Repository-Organization. But in the ideal case it would be great to be able to give access to many datastores and client will choose where to backup this or that job.
