Error after moving backup files from repositroy to another

Post by h.amer »

Veeam is 11 & storage is Data domain 7200

I moved successfully all backup files from one datadomain storage unit foler (From NFS Share) to another Storage Unit on the same storage.
after i moved files i created now repository (Network NFS share repository) pointing to the new Storage Unit location.
Now when i try to run the backup job it gives me this error.

10/07/2021 12:01:00 AM :: Error: Failed to reset previous connection exception: RPC error, server return: [Accept State: remote hasn't exported program (Code 1)]
Failed to open storage for read/write access. Storage: [DC-DD7200-1.NES.PRD:/data/col1/SU_PPDMSVEEAM01/CCLNT09/PPDMSEMCLICE01_2/PPDMSEMCLICE01D2021-07-09T235757_610B.vbk].
Agent failed to process method {Stg.OpenReadWrite}.

Notes: When i create repository or even scan it after that i got no error.
The NFS location i can browse it and create folders and files inside it normally (away from veeam)

If someone can help i will be appriciated

They mark this sentence to me by red in the page of opening case:

You don't have an active evaluation license for this product.

Please visit the Veeam Customer Portal to manage your licenses or Contact Sales to extend your trial or purchase licenses.

That means you never downloaded product installation media using this account.
Try my.veeam.com > license management > trial licenses > request one.
That should allow you to open support cases.

/Thanks!

This is certainly unexpected as I see that other users were able to create support cases for the Community Edition today. Please make sure you're opening a support case for the Community Edition. It sounds like you're possibly picking a paid product, but I cannot be sure. If this still does not work, let us know and we will ask support management to investigate this next week.

Unfortunately, one way or the other, you will need to go through support... the reasons for that are explained in great details following the same link.

P.S. I just remembered that one reason could be that your company was a paying customer before, but did not renew the maintenance contract. Such companies are not considered as "fair use" Community Edition users and are not granted technical support in principle, because it provides a loophole for obtaining support for issues with the production installation by "replaying" it on a separate CE install, thus allowing to continue running much larger installations than CE limit without paying the corresponding maintenance fees on the perpetual license.
