Error during Backup Job Case ID 02192820
Hi all,
one of my backup Jobs is not working anymore. Im getting this erros:
27.06.2017 04:55:31 :: Full backup file merge failed Error: ChannelError: ConnectionReset
27.06.2017 12:07:05 :: Error: ChannelError: ConnectionReset
The Job contains large VMs with indexing. Forever incremental for 31 days. Issue is already reported to veeam Support but they dont't call back. Job doesn't work since 17th June. It's getting critical.
Thanks for tips.

Re: Error during Backup Job
Please include your support case ID, so that I could check why there was no communication from the engineer.

Christoph, based on the ticket I see that you're communicating with our support engineer, so they did call back. Unfortunately, I do not understand what you're discussing there, since everything is in German Please continue working with our engineer, as logs review is the only way to investigate and resolve that issue.

The engineer called me only one time last week.

Feel free to set a higher severity or request another call back, since these types of issues cannot be troubleshooted via forums without seeing full log files.

Support told me to start with a new backup chain because the current one seems to be incomplete. Good that we just added storage the Server. I hope the merge in 30 days will work then.

Hmm, but what was the reason of chain incompletion? I'm wondering because starting backup chain anew would solve most of the problems, but the root cause will never be found.
Unfortunately, the case is not in English, so I cannot make sense of it; might be a time to escalate the ticket.
Thanks.

If I were you, I would probably dig deeper into this, as otherwise the original cause would not be identified and initial issue could potentially re-appear. Might be worth escalating the case.
