ESXI 6.0 Update 3?

I realise its only been a couple of day, but how long before we get the green light for upgrading vCenter and Hosts to 6.0 U3? Are we likely to need any Veeam updates?

Looks this is fixed in ESXi 6.0 Update 3.

May this cause some issues with veeam when backup starts and there is a lot of connections to ESXi VMware Authorization Daemon(vmware-authd)?

I started with vCenter. Everything was good with veeam backups after upgrade.

Started to get veeam backup errors for few random VMs when upgraded ESXi hosts to ESXi 6.0 U3. Retry job for same failed VMs completes successfully.

Did you do a Veeam rescan of vCenter after you upgraded your hosts?

Hi all,

Today I installed this update 3 on our vCenter and on all ESXi hosts. I did several test backups and so far everything works fine. I will give an update in a couple of days.

Last night, everything worked fine. No problems at all.

How many max concurrent tasks have you configured for your backup proxy? How many backup proxys?

We have 9 backup proxies, the physical proxies have 12 concurrent and the virtual proxies have 6 concurrent tasks. That would be in total max. 96 concurrent tasks (if my calculation is right )

There's a new vCenter Server 6.0 Update 3a out that fixes a critical security exploit that was reported last week.

Anything official from Veeam, to fix the VMWare security issue and update vSphere 6.0 U2 straight to U3 (B&R 9.5 U1 in use), is this ok to go?

We have U3a deployed in our labs and everything works smoothly.
