I noticed that many VMs report an event "Virtual machine disks consolidation succeeded." after the backup completes.
Is it a normal behavior?
Is it the symptom of any problem?
How can I treroubleshoot the problem?
Regards

Re: Event: "Virtual machine disks consolidation succeeded."
Hello,
before I merge this thread to the existing ones
1) is it a warning or an error?
2) does that happen every day? Or only once?
3) do you have a case number?
In general, you should see a "consolidation needed" also in the vSphere client on these VMs (before backup). The message itself means that the Veeam snapshot hunter is cleaning up snapshots (usually caused by VMware issues)
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Event: "Virtual machine disks consolidation succeeded."
Many thanks for your answer.
Let me provide some additional details:
1) is it a warning or an error?
It's an Information event I see among the events in the VCSA vSphere client
2) does that happen every day? Or only once?
On some given VMs it happens every day just before backup
3) do you have a case number?
No

Given that the VMs are business critical, I need to ensure ther is no problem besides the event…
