Exchange 2013 Backup

Hi,

what is the recommended backup settings on veeam for Exchange 2013, Im using Veeam 8 (Test) and when the full backup finished I noticed the transaction logs are not purge out.

thanks for the reply,

yes both
Enable application-aware-image processing
Enable guest file system indexing

are checked.

though currently its under observation, I only notice on our exchange that I initiate the Full backup let say finished yesterday and still I can see transaction logs dated on Oct 1 2015

What are the advanced settings for application-aware image processing for this VM? Do you see any transaction logs related messages in the job session log?

Are you on a recent cumulative update for Exchange? We occasionally see truncation failures that are resolved by updating Exchange.
