Exchange replication job error
I have an exchange replication job that runs every two hours, I just got an error message that says:
Unable to truncate Exchange transaction logs. Details: RCP function call failed. Function name [BlobCall] Target machine : IP of the exchange server. RPC error: The remote procedure call failed. Code 1726
Is this something I should open a support case for? Its the first time the error has come up.
Actually I just realized the exchange server might have been shutting down for a windows update reboot when the replication was occuring. I'll keep an eye on it.

Re: Exchange replication job error
Indeed if the Guest OS was not avaiable the log truncation process couldn't been completed
Let the replication job run for another couple times and see if the error doesn't come back, and let us know.

Re: Exchange replication job error
And if it does happen on the next run, I would recommend to investigate Windows Event log of your Exchange server regarding these RPC errors.

Re: Exchange replication job error
Well this morning the exchange server ran a full back up that completed with this error:
Unable to truncate Exchange transaction logs. Details: Freeze job already stopped.
What should I do?
Veeam 8.0.0.817, Windows 2008R2SP1 and Exchange 2010

Re: Exchange replication job error
I just got it the same error again on another replication job for the same exchange server, is it a critical problem? I only put the severity of this case to 3.

Re: Exchange replication job error
Transaction logs cannot be truncated due to some RPC error on the Exchange server, I would consider this a problem. Most likely the reason for this could be found in Windows Event log.
