Hi All,
Needing some guidance on this. When comitting the snapshot to the Exchange server, the VM hangs and Exchange connectivity is lost. Snapshots either have to be manually deleted, or the process is left for a couple of hours.
This is on the latest version of Veeam, while VMware is ESXi 5.5 (moving to ESXi 6.5 in the next couple of months).
I am trying to get some assistance for the backup engineer whilst checking on whether or not this is related to VMware instead.
Thanks!!

Re: Exchange server backup sees snapshots not being released
Hi Craig,
thanks for the request.
You can easily test it this is related to VMware or Veeam. Just create a Standard VM snapshot manually and release it after the same time. Likely you will see the same problems there (and Veeam is not involved in this at all).
Please check my following blog entry which should help you to identify the problem and it show workarounds and things that you can do on the configuration side.
