Hi
I may have a requirement to exclude a disk that will be added to a VM as a temporary requirement. This VM is in a backup job and the VM is contained in a VM Folder and this is the backup source. Am I able to exclude a disk from a VM where the source is a folder? I have seen the following
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
This mentions "If you want to exclude disks of a VM added as part of the container, click Add to include the VM in the list as a standalone object." Does this mean I can add the VM specifically to the backup job and then exclude the disk from the VM? Will this not just mean that the VM is backed up twice? Once from the source folder and once from the specific VM mentioned in the job?
Thanks

Re: Exclude a disk from being backed up
Hi,
You are right, just add the VM as a object and exclude the disk.
It won’t be backuped twice as we will recognize it to be the same as in the folder.
