exclude sql server backup

Hi all,

we have our own special sql backup jobs running on our VMs - now we recognized that we are getting problems with our own jobs, when veeam does backup the machines. When we want to restore over sql server a database or whatever, we are getting error messages regarding "sql server cannot open backup device".

So my question is - can we exclude sql server while backing up the whole VM?

Alexander, general recommendation if you are backing your SQL Server up using native tools, is setting the Veeam B&R backup job to "copy only" in the guest processing settings. Is that what you're after?
