Hello,
Every Sunday morning (around 7am or so onwards) I notice that I have inflated Veeam backups (both regular backups and replications) that instead of taking the usual 10 or so minutes to run they run for at least 2 hours and is obviously backing up a lot of data. This server in particular runs Microsoft Exchange 2010 and it only seems to be happening with one of the drives in the server
Has anyone else seen anything similar? I have turned off AV scans, checked all operations in Exchange for times and I cant find anything.
Cheers

Re: Exhange 2010 and inflated Veeam backups
If you've checked all application/system maintenance tasks, I recommend reviewing the following thread. Might give you some hints.

Re: Exhange 2010 and inflated Veeam backups
Im running WIndows 2008 R2 server but none of those dedup things happen to me. Im thinking I will have to mount a before and after image and see what's changed.

Doesn't Exchange have a weekly maintenance/online defrag? Could that be the cause?

Ive checked that. Exchange has nightly maintenance that happens every night but nothing that happens once a week that I can see
