Veeam 9.5 on a Hyper-V machine, backup up VMware infrastructure, Compellent SAS backend, using ReFS. All nice and well until KB4284833 came along. Processing times for Synthetic Fulls (Fast Clone) on ReFS jumped from e.g. 26 minutes to 2.5 hours, or from 1.5 hours to over 30 (sic!) hours. Removing said KB and everything is back to normal. The underlying host is already patched against Spectre/Meltdown, but disabling protections inside the VM did not do it any good - we had to completely remove the June updates.
Anyone seen this or can confirm?

Re: Extreme bad ReFS Fast Clone performance after KB4284833?
Yes, there're a couple of threads in the main forum about this.

Looks like I'm blind. Can you provide a link to such posts? Im interested in workarounds here.Gostev wrote:Yes, there're a couple of threads in the main forum about this.
