Failed to index guest file system

Post by veeuservee »

Hi everyone,

So this error came up today, since i changed pc that handles backups and installed fresh copy on veeam:
Failed to index guest file system. Details: The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT))

Veeam version is 6.5
GuestOS is WXP

Would appreciate if anyone got any directions i should be looking at.

Hi and welcome to the community!

Honestly speaking you should be looking at the direction of updating your Veeam server :) v6.5 is outdated and is no longer supported, sorry.

So you got a new PC and installed Veeam anew on it, right? What OS do you have on the new Veeam server?

Thanks

Since support of version 6.5 had ended before W10 release I wouldn't expect v6.5 to work smooth on that OS.

Thank you

Ok but it works :)
Feel stupid for not acting by classic advice "Have you tried to turn it off and on again?"
Everything works now.
