Failed to open VDDK Disk from B&R 10 to vSphere 5.5

Post by gtebbe »

I have a Windows 2019 server setup with Veeam B&R 10.0.0.4461 Community Edition trying to backup VMs in a vSphere 5.5.0 environment.
I am getting the Error Failed to open VDDK disk when I try to make snaps of the VM's.
I see a similar error in B&R 9.x CE and there is a patch for that.
Is there such a patch for 10?

Can you please link the KB article with 9.x patch you're talking about? As normally, it should have been rolled into v10... and there are no known issues with vSphere 5.5 matching your description at this time in v10.

Right, so just as I thought. This issue was specific to vSphere 5.0 or 5.1, which v10 no longer supports. But it never affected vSphere 5.5. Thanks!
