Hi Guys

Support ID :- 01117849

i have around 40 VMs & out these only in 4 VMs i am getting an below error "Error: File does not exist or locked. "

Error: File does not exist or locked. VMFS path: [[OSVOL-01] VM/VM.vmx].
Please, try to download specified file using connection to the ESX server where the VM registered. Failed to create NFC download stream. NFC path: [nfc://conn:10.255.241.10,nfchost:host-474,stg:datastore-375@VM/VM.vmx]

VMware ESXi version , 6.5.0, 5969303. please advice

Are those VMs located on a different ESXi host? If so, it could be that Veeam can't reach the host because of routing or firewall issues.

Forum search shows that restarting ESXi management agents helped in similar cases, though I'd continue looking into this with the help of support.

Thanks for you Reply.. i tried to restart the management agents. but still the issue is same. please advice.

Dear Rgnor, yes all four vms are is different host. two are in one host & two are in another host.

Can you backup other VMs on these hosts?
This error often is caused by network issues(firewall, routing,...).
