This is in relation to case #02494252 .
Veeam B&R Server v11
Veeam Backup Proxy Server
Data Domain DD6900 appliance
All 3 devices on same subnet.
Storage Unit created on Data Domain
Added in as a repository on Veeam console
The gateway is set as Automatic
Job backs up to the repository successfully.
The gateway was selected as the Veeam B&R Server
There are far more resources in terms of CPU, RAM, disk on the Veeam Backup Proxy so I would like to use this as Gateway
The Veeam Backup Proxy Server is added as a Windows Server in the console and I can then change the gateway manually on the repository to be the Veeam Backup Proxy Server.
The backup then fails with a "Veeam.Backup.AgentProvider.AgentClosedException" error
I have raised a support call and sent in the logs.
Support says that the transport agent is started successfully but then killed.
Tested again with no AV or Firewall and job still fails.
The Veeam Backup Proxy Server is a Windows 2019 OS Server.
I had a Veeam Backup Proxy Server (W2016 OS) from our old Veeam 11 setup so I added this in and selected it as the Gateway for the repository and the backup worked successfully.
Any ideas as to why this W2019 Veeam Backup Proxy throws this exception error and starts the agent but then kills the process?

Support provided the hotfix and after installation on the W2019 gateway servers, the backups are now working successfully.
