Ghost job ? :)

Post by crond »

Hi All,

Background:
All my jobs have a manual start and all of them are ESXi VM Backup jobs.
One of them "d9" got a "ghost"

* Whenever any job is running I see an additional "d9 (Full)" in the list of "Last 24 hours" -> Running. (and it's at 24% complete).
* It doesn't count towards the number of running jobs I.e VBR would tell me "2 jobs" are running when I see 3 jobs on "Last 24 hours" -> running list.
* If I pull "Report", I see that job run to completion successfully about a month ago.
* If I manually start "d9" job, I can see both the real job and "ghost" d9 in the "running list".

So I guess I got a corrupted database somehow. Is there any way to check database for consistency ?

Thanks!

Hi crond,

Have you tried pressing F5 in the Job List? There is a known issue, where old jobs are still displayed even though they are already completed. This is just a display issue and in most cases it can be resolved by pressing F5 to refresh the view. Your case reads exactly like this problem.
Veeam is aware of this and already tried to patch it in the past, but it still happens sometimes even on the latest version.

Best regards.

F5 works wonders :)

If not, please open a support case with Veeam.
Database manipulation to remove stalled jobs needs some SQL query.
