Hi,
I am assuming this is a Veeam issue, but I just wanted to clarify. I had restored a VM (Veeam 6.5) to a different name to test the restore process. I later deleted the VM from disk using vCenter. Browsing my datastore, I see the folder for the VM still exists and there is one file in there called GuestIndexData.zip. I assume this is safe to delete, but would just like to confirm it is Veeam leaving this file. Thanks!

Re: GuestIndexData.zip remains after deleting VM from disk
The referenced files are related to Veeam, indeed. Those are indexes used to perform file search from the EM.
However, I honestly have no idea why they are located on the datastore, not inside VBRCatalog that typically is present on a backup server.
Thanks.

That is why I was confused too. I will go ahead and delete the folder and file.v.Eremin wrote: However, I honestly have no idea why they are located on the datastore, not inside VBRCatalog that typically is present on a backup server.
