Good Day Everyone,
We are a Veeam shop and looking for best practices out in the wild for backup Gold Images and the snaps assicated with them. These machines are normally powered off most of the time and are powered once a month to update them with patches etc, snapped and powered off. A snap is then created. from that snap of the "Gold Image" we update our Horizon View 7.x pools and or farms based on the gold image. Anyway wanted to provided some back story here.
What are the best practices to getting those machines aka gold images backed up?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Jorge

Re: Horizon View 7.x Gold Images and Back-Ups - Looking for best practices
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Actually that is one of the few use cases where the "file copy job" can be used. Probably faced the issue, that you cannot backup the snapshots. Correct?
For restore, you need to inventory the VMX file but all snapshots will be retained.
Best regards,
Hannes
