Every 4 hours Host Discovery runs for about 50 minutes
In this time first we see high load in process VeeamDeploymentSvc for 10 minutes, then sqlserv for 30 minutes and at end of job 10 minutes one more VeeamDeploymentSvc. In SQL Server we found a deadlock in VeeamBackup.dbo.Sessionlog.
Is it necessary that this process runs every 4h and at time, when most backup jobs are running?
Case #07196588
Reason of this posting is some freezing of backup environment and timeouts with vary error messages.

Re: Host Discovery runs long with high load in SQL Server
Hi @ChrisWolf,
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges here; the Engineer is reviewing the information and should be able to provide a few more details after their review; the behavior is not expected to see such impact from the Host Discovery process, and there are some means to adjust this, but I've asked the Engineer to check on a few of the details you mention here and they will have some guidance soon.
