Host not responding when backuping

Hello,
Got a strange issue since few weeks now when backuping, here the description :
VMware cluster with 3 nodes 8.0u1 direct attach to a Dell Powervault ME5024 SAN
Veeam v12.1.0.2131
Veeam CDP v12.1.0.2131

We have 2 VBR and 2 proxy on the cluster :
- 1 VBR for backup with a dedicated proxy
- 1 VBR for CDP with a dedicated proxy

CDP is running fine for almost 15 VMs and a schedule to disable CDP job is configured when backup window start.
When backup window start, it work fine for the first ~10VMs then the ESXi host holding the proxy swap to not responding state until the backup proxy is manually shut (proxy still holding VM disk with lock and consolidation needed)

Before the upgrade of CDP to 12.1, we haven't see this issue, and when we have no VM under CDP job the backup is working fine. We have add day by day some VMs in CDP jobs and no issues with 1 to 4~5 VMs. The issue is comming back when more VMs are add in the CDP job (really don't know if CDP is causing the issue)

The backup proxy is responding and switching to NBD mode since the host is not responding from vcenter.
Got an opened case #07101396 with P1.

Hi Monomate

You have provided a contract number instead of a case number. Is your case #07101396?
I checked this case. Unfortunately most of the comments are in French, which I don't speak/understand.

Hello,
I've made some update in the case :
- when the issue occur, Veeam CDP coordinator service consume a lot of CPU on the CDP VBR
- i've disable the CDP policy and stop the Veeam CDP coordinator service, everything return online and the backup job run fine
