Hot Add is not supported for this disk on 1 server only
Hi,
We have just started to virtualise our server environment, and are currently backing up 10 virtual machines using VEEAM 6.0.0.181 (64bit).
1 of these is coming up with a warning saying that "Hot add is not supported for this disk, failing over to network mode..."
I have had a look at this KB article http://www.veeam.com/kb_articles.html/KB1054 and none of them seem to apply (another server on the same LUN is backing up fine).
Is there anyway to narrow down which of the VM disks are causing the issue and how to resolve it? The VM is running an SQL database but another server which is doing the same is backing up fine....
Many thanks for your help.
Matt

Re: Hot Add is not supported for this disk on 1 server only
Hello Matt,
The thing is that following error "Hot add is not supported for this disk, failing over to network mode..." doesn't point to cause of the issue since failover is turning on. I can suggest you for test purpose to disable "failover to network" mode for Proxy server, re-run the job and take a look on updated logs.
Thanks

Hi absent, where abouts is that option?
I've tried to set up a new separate job as a test but can't find it anywhere?
Many thanks
Matt

OK actually have a full error now:
*EDIT*
Not sure if this is any more helpful though (the error stops at ":").
It seems to be suggesting that there is a permissions error, however we have other servers on the same LUN / Volume backing up without error via the same job..)
Thanks
Matt
