Hi PTide
I get error
" oracle error has occurred ora12547: tns:lost contact"
Is there thing i should configure on the veeam server. (Example : install oracle home. Edit tnsora. Edit hosts file....etc)
Is there anything to be done on db server?.
Thanks in advance

Re: How to Backup Oracle 11g on linux OEL 7
Hi,
It seems that, the connection to the listener service on the Oracle server drops, for some reason.
Are you able to tnsping the database? If yes, then try to connect to the database manually via sqlplus from the Windows server using SYSDBA account. If that works, then you'll need to either check "Troubleshooting ORA-12547 TNS: Lost Contact" (DOC 555565.1) (which must be available via oracle support portal), or contact Oracle support directly - there are many reasons why listener may behave badly. There is also an option to seek for help in Oracle community.
Thanks
