How to configure Veeam to take snapshot of 3PAR FC LUN/VOL
Hi There,
How do I present all the LUN/VOLUME from 3PAR to Veeam, all are connected via FC? I cannot figure out how to let Veeam talk to 3PAR. Please advise. Thanks.

Re: How to configure Veeam to take snapshot of 3PAR FC LUN/V
Hi Daniel,
You need to have an HBA adapter installed to the proxy server and then add vSphere LUNs to the Windows server (using 3PAR software) without intilizating them. Let me know what step do you currently have troubles at?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
You mean I need to present all the vSphere LUNs to the Veeam proxy server (Windows)?
I thought need to configure Veeam to talk to 3PAR management server, or talk to CPGs?

Now, I have re-read your post and it seems like you want to backup from HP storage snapshots, for some reason I assumed you want to use direct SAN access mode (one of the vStorage API modes) to backup your VMs, my bad.
So getting back to your original question, we have a couple of links that should be useful for you, please take a look > Configuration Guide: Best Practices with HP Storage and Setting Up Backup Infrastructure for HP SAN Snapshots

[MERGED] Veeam and HP 3PAR
Hello All
We have Veeam 7 with vSphere 5.5 and HP 3PAR 7400.
Now we want to add the HP 3PAR Storage into Veeam.
Question: What user rights does the user need on the HP 3PAR to be able to connect the HP 3PAR Storage? Which role in HP 3PAR does the user need?
When we try to add the storage it fails with the following error message:
Failed to refresh HP StoreServ storage system@domain.end configuration Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
Regards
