Hi,
I would like to patch VB&R7 7.0.0.839 to 7.0.0.871. The KB simply says stop all Veeam services after rebooting the Veeam server to clear any locks, install the patch and start the services. Regarding the services, does this mean every service with Veeam in the display name? And I have an off-site repo. Do I restart that server and stop all the Veeam services on that as well before patching and start them up after the patching process on the VB&R server?
VB&R server in Site A:
Veeam Backup Service
Veeam Backup Catalog Data Service
Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager
Veeam Backup Restful API
Veeam Installer Service
Veeam vPower NFS Service
Veeam Backup Proxy Service
Veeam Off-Site Repo in Site B:
Veeam Installer Service
Veeam vPower NFS Service
Veeam Backup Proxy Service
Thank you..

Re: How to - Installing Patch 4
Hi Adrian,
Yes, in order to remove all locks that may potentially impact the upgrade process you may want to stop all Veeam services on the backup server you're going to install this patch to, no need to do that on the remote site.
Thanks!

Patch 4 is good!
Backup of 30 VMs now only take 1-2h again (as in V6), rather than the 20h!!! experienced under Veeam 7 / VMware to date.
