How to tell?

Post by rboynton »

Is there an easy way to know what jobs are using a particular WAN accelerator without having to go through all the backup copy jobs?

Hello Rick,
There is Veeam ONE report called Backup Copy Job that provides the info.
Thanks!

Thanks but we don't run Veeam One, but just Backup & Replication.

That's a pity.
There may be a powershell script. I would try to search and ask at powershell subforum.
Could you provide the use case? How many backup copy jobs do you have?

We have about 15 backup copy jobs. A use case: we have a WAN Accelerator VM that one of our jobs fails because it is out of available HD space. We want to see what other backup copy jobs need to use this VM so we can determine if we can just skip using the WAN Accelerator and go direct. At this point we must open each backup copy job and see what source accelerator is being used. Now, if on the backup infrastructure menu we click on WAN Accelerators, then click on an accelerator... would be very nice if a dropdown list appeared showing the backup copy jobs that were using that accelerator.

Even if you don't own Veeam ONE you can always install a free 30-day trial to gather this information.
