I have "migrated" from vcenter server to the appliance.
I had to recreate all jobs in veeam and everything is working except an error that some linux VMs can not be indexed because of wrong credentials.
I found the possibility to manually add credentials for VMs but i can't remember that I ever had to do this before, when I added VMs to a backup job. We are adding them automatically because we backup a VMWare folder, not individual machines.
How can I make sure veeam tries all known credentials if the default does not work?

Re: How to use different credentials for one backup job?
If you've specified credentials for individual VMs, they will be used for guest processing.

Re: How to use different credentials for one backup job?
So I have to group all VMs in folders with the same cedentials?
Otherwise newly added VMs would require to manually adding credentials, which would be quite a hassle.
Or is there a better solution?

Re: How to use different credentials for one backup job?
Everything depends on how many VMs require credentials different from the default ones. In case there are just few of them, you're ok to specify the exclusions explicitly, otherwise, you have to manage this, for example, with the help of vSphere tags.
