Immutable Backups to Backup Copy?

Post by jdbush »

Last week I stood up a Linux server and configured immutable backups (I'm a fan!). We have a cloud provider that receives daily backup copy jobs off our local backups. They just upgraded to support v11. Is there any issue if I re-configure my backup copy jobs to copy off of the new immutable backups? So my concern is with the local backups being immutable, will I being copying unusable backups to our cloud repository, or will everything still be good?

Thanks! Hope my question makes sense ;D

Correct, you can re-configure backup copy job to take care of immutable backups, no additional backups will be copied by it in this case. Thanks!
