Impacts update I/O FILTER for VXRAIL-VSAN

Hello
Does the I/O filter update on Veeam (version 11.1.94 to version 12.2.6) have significant impacts on VXRAIL-VSAN clusters (ESXi 7.0.3 version)? Are there any changes in how data is processed or storage access protocols? Are there any precautions to take before performing the update? Is there a risk of VXRAIL-VSAN unavailability?

I am a beginner with CDP and I/O Filter. Thank you for your help

Veeam CDP uses the VMware VAIO filters for the processing. Those are designed to work independently with the underlaying storage (here vSAN) and as well multiple VAIO filters can work in parallel from different vendors.

As we transport data, this traffic needs to be considered as usual.

the update of the I/O filter 12.2 by VEEam is compatible with vmware 7.0.3?
Is there any interruption during the update on a Vxrail cluster ?

That error you posted indicates that you need to update your I/O Filter as well. The filter version is still on 11.1.94. The recommendations is to update the I/O filters on the hosts. This can be performed from the Inventory menu in Veeam and selecting the hosts and then selecting Manage I/O Filters.
