Re: Veeam V10 CDP Feature

Post by DGrinev »

I've been waiting for the CDP feature since VeeamON 2017.

Will it be released in v10?
Or is there any roadmap about it?

Thanks for all Veeam RD effort.
Hi Francisko,

You can find a list of top 10 features for Veeam B&R v10 in the blog post here without CDP in it.
I cannot share any ETA at the moment, but CDP is still planned for the next releases.

Thank you!

Did this feature not make V10? I can't find any references to it in the product or documentation.

Since VeeamCDP is unique in a way that it sits directly in the data path, we felt it needs more time/polish and an extensive beta testing program. Because a bug in CDP typically means production down. So, we decided not to delay the rest of v10 goodness over one feature, and just ship it in the follow up release.

And don't forget I think the so waiting CDP feature will be VM or volume based ;) and not include in Enterprise Plus license.

Nothing has been decided yet on how it will be licensed though ;-)
