Increase snapshot limit for vSAN Datastore ?

Hi everyone,

I know there is a registry key for increase the limit of snapshot per datastore:
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication
Key: MaxSnapshotsPerDatastore
Type: REG_DWORD
Default value: 4

But we have several type of datastores (Local datastore, SAN full SSD, SAN SATA, vSAN) more or less efficient, and we don't want increase the limit of snapshot for all datastores, at the risk of saturating some in terms of performance.
We would to increase this value, only for vSAN datastores. If we have a vSAN cluster with 30 nodes (and more), with several hundred VM, I find that 4 simultaneous snapshot is very few.

Is it possible to change this value only for a specific datastore?

today there is no option for that. But there are ideas to add that in the (hopefully near) future.

+1 for a new feature request.
a big vsan cluster support much more then 4 snapshots, generaly on small cluster I change it to 16 simultanous snapshots.
But generaly speaking you have a mix of type of storage.

with 11a we have 32 snapshots per default on VSAN. VSANMaxSnapshotsNum is available to increase the limit.
