Information about instances

Hi, I have information about instances.
A customer of mine has 6 VMs to backup and replicate to make a DR site.
The environment is vsphere 7.
As a solution I thought of offering Veeam Backup Essentials with 10 instances.
My questions are:
Does the instance cover the vm for each type of work? In the sense that with one instance I can both backup and replicate the same vm? Or does it take two instances?

1 instance is need for each vm.
If your backup server take a backup and replicate it to the dr site, veeam will only use one instance for this vm
